Golf legend Tiger Woods has announced the passing of his mother, Kultida Woods, in an emotional tribute shared on social media.
The 49-year-old former world number one expressed his heartfelt sadness, crediting his mother for her unwavering support throughout his career.
Woods’ Emotional Tribute to His Mother
“It is with heartfelt sadness that I want to share that my dear mother, Kultida Woods, passed away early this morning.”
“She was my biggest fan, greatest supporter. Without her, none of my personal achievements would have been possible.”
Kultida Woods was a constant presence at Tiger’s tournaments, including his historic 2019 Masters victory, where he won his 15th major title after an 11-year wait.
A Life Dedicated to Family & Golf

Kultida regularly attended Tiger’s events, most recently supporting him at a TGL match in Florida last week.
She was deeply loved by her two grandchildren, Sam and Charlie.
Woods also lost his father, Earl Woods, in 2006, making this another heartbreaking moment for the golf icon.
“She was a force of nature, her spirit was undeniable. She was loved by so many, but especially by her grandchildren.”
