Title fight heats up between Bagnaia and Martin

The MotoGP grand finale will decide the champion this weekend. So, after Friday practice, is it Martin or Bagnaia who has the advantage?Francesco Bagnaia, who has won 10 races this year, wants to put in a strong performance in the final race to maintain his championship chances. On the other hand, Jorge Martin continues to maintain his lead with his consistent performance throughout the season.

However, in yesterday’s training session, Bagnaia showed a complete lack of stress and made it clear that he is ready for the fight. Martin, on the other hand, had problems with both speed and bike control.

Bagnaia was the fastest in Friday practice with a time of 1:38.918, while Martin was fifth.

Jorge Martin said after practice that many drivers still had not tested the tyre performance fully: “A lot of tyres were tested today and most drivers did not do enough laps on them. Everyone looks quite fast with the new tyres. But I think it will be different on Sunday. There will be many fast drivers in the sprint race, but in the big race the differences could be even more significant.”

Francesco Bagnaia stressed the importance of a strong start to the weekend: “I feel like I have overcome the first big hurdle for this weekend. Things are going my way on the track and I feel comfortable on the bike. I will do my best to win the championship.”

With all this, the championship fight between Jorge Martin and Francesco Bagnaia could come to a conclusion today. Martin will claim the championship if he finishes the sprint race in the top 8 and ahead of Bagnaia!
