Tomislav Mijatovic: “We Need to Play Every Game Like We Did in the Second Half”

Anadolu Efes head coach Tomislav Mijatovic shared his thoughts following his team’s 95-72 victory over Darüşşafaka Lassa in the Turkish Insurance Basketball Super League.

After a close first half, Anadolu Efes took control in the second, securing their third win in as many games to start the season. Darüşşafaka, meanwhile, suffered their second defeat in three matches.

Speaking to the broadcaster after the match, coach Mijatovic expressed his dissatisfaction with the first-half performance, but praised his team’s response in the second half:

“We cannot be happy with our performance in the first half. We were sluggish, reacting late, and I don’t know what was on our minds. We talked about it at halftime, and we came out much better, much more physical in the second half. We knew it wouldn’t be an easy game. We must play every game like we did in the second half. Congratulations to my players for the win, but we need to keep improving with every game.”

Mijatovic’s comments reflect his desire for consistency as Anadolu Efes looks to maintain its strong start to the season.
