2nd International Rowing Surfing Cup Starts in Antalya

The 2nd International Rowing Surfing Cup will take place in Kemer, Antalya.

According to a statement from the Kemer Municipality, a press conference regarding the organization, which has been added to the world racing calendar and will start tomorrow, was held at a facility in Ayisigi Bay.

Kemer Mayor Necati Topaloglu stated that 270 athletes from 9 countries will participate in this year’s races.

Cansin Efir, the Kemer Municipality Tourism Unit Supervisor, highlighted that 14 international events have been held in the district over the past 15 days, with approximately 8,000 athletes and their families, totaling around 15,000 people hosted in Kemer.

Ozkan Cakmak, Vice President of the Kemer Hoteliers and Businesspeople Association (KEMIAD), expressed their efforts to enhance the quality of the organization and affirmed their continued support for the sport of rowing surfing.

Foreign athletes attending the press conference expressed their happiness to be in Kemer, praised Turkish hospitality, and shared their excitement about competing in the district’s clear waters.

The athletes will compete on technical and long-distance open water courses of 575 meters and 6 kilometers in Ayisigi Bay, with the event concluding on November 2, Saturday.
