Bruno Fernandes Makes Painful Admission About Manchester United! ‘Yes, I Am Aware’

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has made a candid admission about the team’s chances of winning the Premier League this season. United has started their Premier League campaign poorly, replicating their disappointing finish from last season. The Red Devils have lost two of their first three matches, with a 3-0 defeat at home to Liverpool being their worst performance. Despite major changes during the transfer window, United has faced a lot of criticism for their lack of results. Fernandes has admitted that winning the league may be out of reach.

Speaking to DAZN in Portugal, Fernandes said, “Yes, I am aware that Manchester United is not ready to win the Premier League. Unfortunately, I am aware of this.

“Indeed, we are aiming to fight for the championship with a tangible and realistic goal of finishing in the top four to qualify for the Champions League. However, there is still a lot to be improved if we are to achieve the greater goal and my dream of winning the league one day.”

Casemiro was at the center of two mistakes in United’s defeat to Liverpool, receiving a lot of criticism. Fernandes also defended the Brazilian midfielder, who has struggled with form since the start of last season.

“Casemiro is more experienced than I am and has played for the best two clubs in the world in terms of media coverage. He is very high quality. And mistakes will happen to everyone. We need to be more careful when errors occur and rectify them in a timely manner.

“When we lose the ball, we need to be more alert, sense and sniff out the danger, and be more objective. We need to score more goals when we have chances. We have attacking quality, but our goal count is low.”

The Portuguese star will be representing the national team in the Nations League group stage matches against Croatia and Scotland before returning to the Red Devils.
