David Blatt to Become EuroLeague Sporting Director

David Blatt has been named the new sporting director of Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Earlier this season, Maccabi Tel Aviv’s long-time sporting director Avi Even unexpectedly stepped down from his position.

According to Israeli media outlet ONE, David Blatt is the leading candidate to fill the vacant position after Avi Even’s departure.

Blatt had been a significant help to Even during his final days in the role, and after Even’s departure, Blatt emerged as the top candidate for the position.

The former coach, who has been battling MS (Multiple Sclerosis) for some time, has also recently provided consultancy services to Maccabi, the New York Knicks, and the Canadian National Team.
