Cengiz Ünder, who joined Fenerbahçe at the beginning of last season for a record fee of 15 million euros, has fallen short of expectations. After a first season marked by injuries and inconsistent performances, the Turkish international has not found favor with head coach Jose Mourinho this season and is now considered surplus to requirements.
Spartak Moscow Back in the Race
According to Takvim, Spartak Moscow has knocked on Fenerbahçe’s door once again. The Russian club aims to sign Cengiz Ünder before the transfer window closes on September 12.
The Russian side has offered 8 million euros for Cengiz Ünder. However, Fenerbahçe reportedly wants to raise this amount to around 10 million euros. The transfer is expected to be finalized in the next few days.
