Fernando Alonso has reportedly offered to allocate a portion of his salary to secure Adrian Newey’s services.

As Alonso approaches his 400th career race, team principal Mike Krack suggested that the Spanish driver could remain with the team for a long time, even possibly reaching 500 races.

Krack also highlighted the growing respect and collaboration between Alonso and renowned designer Adrian Newey, calling it crucial to the team’s success. He said, “It’s very clear that Fernando has a long future with this team.”

“Alonso was thrilled about Newey’s arrival. In fact, during the discussions on Tuesday, he even suggested that a portion of his salary could be used to help finance Adrian Newey.”

“Figures like 10%, 20% were discussed. Today, I will find out the exact number, but you can really see the immense respect these two have for each other.”

“Adrian has always wanted to work with someone like Fernando, and likewise, Fernando has wanted to work with him. Therefore, we must do everything we can to organize things well and ensure a good collaboration between the two.”
