The future of Bright Osayi-Samuel, who is in the last year of his contract with Fenerbahce, remains uncertain. The player has also been linked with Norwich City, prompting noteworthy statements from English coach Carlton Palmer regarding Osayi-Samuel’s potential transfer.
Fenerbahce is expected to hold new contract discussions with Bright Osayi-Samuel after the international break, but his name continues to circulate in transfer rumors.
Palmer remarked that Osayi-Samuel, who was a winger at QPR, has transitioned to a full-back role at Fenerbahce. He emphasized the Nigerian right-back’s energy, stating, “If they can secure Osayi, it would be a fantastic move for Norwich.”
Palmer noted that since transferring to Turkey, Osayi-Samuel has been competing at the top of the league. “He is experienced and can play in both positions. This would be beneficial for Johannes Thorup (Norwich head coach),” he added.
Reiterating that Osayi would be a great signing for Norwich, the English coach commented, “However, the transfer depends on the amount they are willing to pay for the player.”
Palmer indicated that players of Osayi’s quality and experience would help Norwich, mentioning that the Championship team lacks sufficient squad depth.
This season, Osayi-Samuel has appeared in six matches across all competitions, totaling 371 minutes on the field and providing one assist.
