Freddie Gillespie is expected to join Olimpia Milan after parting ways with the New Zealand Breakers.
Freddie Gillespie plans to sign with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan after terminating his contract with the New Zealand Breakers, according to ESPN.Gillespie’s most recent EuroLeague campaign was with Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade.
He averaged 2.5 points and 1.9 rebounds per game in the EuroLeague.
The 208 cm forward played his final game with the Breakers on Saturday against the Cairns Taipans, leaving the team with averages of 6.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, and a league-leading 1.8 blocks per game.
Reflecting on his time in New Zealand, Gillespie said: “I’ve built great and lasting relationships with my teammates, the Breakers staff, and our incredible fans. I’m truly proud of everything we’ve accomplished together this season.”
As he looks ahead to the next phase of his career, Gillespie shared his excitement.
