Galatasaray Officially Announce Alexandru Cicaldau’s Departure: Returns to Former Club U Craiova

Galatasaray have officially parted ways with Romanian midfielder Alexandru Cicaldau, who has returned to his former club, U Craiova 1948 Club Sportiv.

In a statement, Galatasaray confirmed the transfer: “An agreement has been reached with U Craiova 1948 Club Sportiv SA regarding the transfer of our professional footballer Alexandru Cicaldau.”

Cicaldau originally joined Galatasaray from U Craiova in the summer of 2021 for a transfer fee of €6.5 million. However, after a spell in Turkey that fell short of expectations, the 26-year-old midfielder is now returning to his former club.
