Galatasaray turned its attention to Germany after the Nicola Zalewski transfer in Italy hit a roadblock. The club quickly reached an agreement with Freiburg’s Hungarian winger, Roland Sallai, and finalized the transfer. Galatasaray will pay a transfer fee of 6 million Euros to the German club Freiburg, while Sallai will earn 2.5 million Euros annually under a four-season contract. The 27-year-old player is expected to watch today’s match against Rizespor from the stands.
Galatasaray experienced surprising developments on the last day of the transfer window. The club had been in negotiations for several days with AS Roma and Polish winger Nicola Zalewski but could not finalize the deal. Although Galatasaray reached an agreement on the transfer fee with the Italian club, the player and his agent presented new demands, causing the negotiations to break down. Following this, Galatasaray shifted its focus to Germany and started negotiations with Freiburg for Roland Sallai.

The club agreed to pay Freiburg a 6 million Euro transfer fee and signed a four-season contract with the 27-year-old Hungarian player for an annual salary of 2.5 million Euros.
