HAMILTON: “ANTONELLI IS SHOWING STRONG PERFORMANCE”

Lewis Hamilton assessed Kimi Antonelli’s performance and discussed potential changes for the W15.

After the second practice session, Lewis Hamilton noted that they were unable to make any adjustments to the car setup.

During the testing process for Pirelli’s 2025 tires, the drivers who took to the track in the second practice session did not show much improvement in race setup.

Therefore, Hamilton expressed that they would make efforts to achieve a more balanced rear end in the car during the third practice session. He said, “The second practice was a tire test, so we couldn’t make any changes to the car; it remained the same from start to finish. I know what I need to do, but we will see if we can actually do it.”

“The car didn’t feel bad. We just need to improve the rear end.”

“You always need more rear balance,” he added.

Hamilton also commented on Kimi Antonelli’s performance in the first practice session, stating, “It was great to see Kimi doing a really solid job. It was enjoyable to work with him and support him before the session.”

“The program he implemented set a solid foundation for us to have a good afternoon. It’s not always easy to gain speed after missing the first practice, but I got a good feeling from the car because of that.”
