Kylian Mbappe Agreed to Liverpool’s Offer

It has been reported that Kylian Mbappe reached a verbal agreement with Premier League giant Liverpool while still at PSG.

Liverpool offered 200 million euros for Mbappe

The French player verbally agreed with the club

The proposed transfer for 2022 did not happen

In June, Mbappe finally moved to his dream club, Real Madrid, with a blockbuster deal valued between 15 million euros (13 million £ / 16 million $) and 20 million euros (17 million £ / 22 million $) per year. However, according to L’Equipe, the French forward came very close to joining Liverpool at one point. It is reported that in 2022, a verbal agreement was reached after the Premier League club made a 200 million euro (169 million £ / 221 million $) bid for Mbappe.

LIVERPOOL HAD TO WITHDRAW

Recently, Mbappe admitted he was “not in an easy situation” at PSG and that there was constant speculation about his future at the club. It appears that Mbappe wanted to leave PSG before the 2022-23 season began, and at that point, the Parisian giants received two offers. One was from Real Madrid and the other from Liverpool. However, when PSG asked the Premier League side to double their offer, the Reds immediately withdrew from the race for Mbappe, despite the supposed ‘verbal agreement’ between them.

Liverpool’s interest in Mbappe did not end with the French star committing his future to PSG in 2022. Earlier this year, the Premier League giant was considered the “most reliable and dangerous candidate” to sign him, despite the continued interest from Real Madrid, who eventually secured Mbappe’s signature.
