Mason Greenwood Urged to Consider Legal Action Against Man Utd
According to reports, Mason Greenwood has been encouraged to look into pursuing a lawsuit against Manchester United after Benjamin Mendy’s successful claim against Manchester City for unpaid wages.
After being suspended without pay starting in September 2021 due to many sexual assault charges, Mendy filed an employment tribunal claim against City, claiming he was owed over £11 million in unpaid wages. Following Mendy’s acquittal on all charges, the tribunal decided in his favor and mandated that City reimburse a significant amount of the earnings that had been withheld.
The Wider View
Greenwood’s attorneys are allegedly thinking of taking a similar action after being inspired by Mendy’s court triumph. Greenwood, who was charged with rape and sexual assault, was suspended by Manchester United and later left the team after the allegations were dismissed, according to The Sun. His team is currently determining if, in light of his suspension and subsequent departure, there is a case for pursuing unpaid pay or damages.
