National Team’s Squad Announced

The candidate squad for the Turkish National Team, which will face Romania and Slovakia in Group F of the FIBA 2025 European Women’s Basketball Championship Qualifiers, has been announced.

According to a statement from the Turkish Basketball Federation, the national team will play against Romania in Istanbul on Thursday, November 7, and against Slovakia away on Sunday, November 10. The candidate squad will gather in Istanbul on November 3.

Under the leadership of head coach Ekrem Memnun, the squad includes the following players:

Elif Bayram, Melek Uzunoglu (Besiktas), Sinem Atas (CBK Mersin), Sehernaz Cidal, Berfin Sertoglu (Emlak Konut), Sevgi Uzun, Serife Alper Onar, Tilbe Senyurek, Olcay Cakir Turgut (Fenerbahce Opet), Meltem Yildizhan, Ayse Cora, Goksen Fitik, Derin Erdogan (Galatasaray Cagdas Faktoring), Zeynep Sevval Gul, Esra Ural Topuz (OGM Ormanspor), Teaira Zyaira McCovan.

The Turkish Women’s National Basketball Team currently leads Group F in the qualifiers, having won both of its matches, with group leaders qualifying directly for the European Championship.
