PEREZ: “WE COULDN’T GET THE PERFORMANCE WE WANTED FROM THE CAR”

Sergio Perez said he struggled with tire performance during the qualifying sessions.

Red Bull driver Sergio Perez stated that he faced issues with tire management and was eliminated in Q2 because of it.

He expressed that the tires weren’t working in the right temperature range and added that they would try to rectify this situation for the rest of the weekend.

“We came from a very strong weekend in Baku, but we struggled here. Q1 was quite good, but things got tough in Q2.”

“We couldn’t get the expected performance from the tires, and we also had issues with the brakes. We fought a lot with the tires this weekend; there’s a lot for us to understand.”
