PFDK imposes 120-day deprivation of rights penalty on Sezgin Gulnar

The Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) issued a 120-day deprivation of rights penalty to Besiktas official Sezgin Gulnar for assaulting a journalist following the Galatasaray-Besiktas derby. The PFDK also imposed a fine of 558,000 TL on Besiktas due to incidents caused by fans during the Galatasaray derby. Additionally, following the same match, Besiktas official Sezgin Gulnar received a 120-day deprivation of rights penalty for his attack on sports journalist Emre Kaplan.

The decisions from the Professional Football Disciplinary Board’s meeting No. 18, dated 31.10.2024, are as follows:

“1- ADANA DEMIRSPOR A.S., for unsporting behavior in the ADANA DEMIRSPOR A.S.-NET GLOBAL SIVASSPOR Trendyol Super League Samil Ekinci Season match played on 25.10.2024, has been fined 1,800,000 TL under Article 36/1-c of the FDT and with the application of Article 4/2 of the same regulation (by majority vote).
In the same match, ADANA DEMIRSPOR A.S. official BEDIRHAN DURAK has been penalized with a 30-DAY DEPRIVATION OF RIGHTS and a fine of 200,000 TL for unsporting behavior (by majority vote).
ADANA DEMIRSPOR A.S. coach NEDIM ASKERI, due to unsporting behavior toward the match referee, has been penalized with a BAN FROM THE LOCKER ROOM AND BENCH FOR 1 OFFICIAL MATCH and a fine of 58,500 TL.

2- ATAKAS HATAYSPOR Club, for failing to number seats in the stadium in accordance with the regulations during the ATAKAS HATAYSPOR-BELLONA KAYSERISPOR Trendyol Super League Samil Ekinci Season match played on 26.10.2024, has been given a WARNING PENALTY.

3- BELLONA KAYSERISPOR Club, for failing to adhere to the timetable regulations during the ATAKAS HATAYSPOR-BELLONA KAYSERISPOR Trendyol Super League Samil Ekinci Season match played on 26.10.2024, has been given a WARNING PENALTY.
In the same match, BELLONA KAYSERISPOR Club has been penalized with a WARNING PENALTY for its supporters’ unsporting and offensive chanting, which occurred for the first time this season in an away match. Additionally, under Article 53/3 of the FDT, the electronic tickets of spectators in the AWAY TRIBUNE NORTH UPPER D2 block who engaged in unsporting chanting are to be blocked, preventing them from attending the next away match.

4- GOZTEPE A.S., for not keeping the staircases empty in the GOZTEPE A.S.-TRABZONSPOR A.S. Trendyol Super League Samil Ekinci Season match played on 26.10.2024, and for repeating this offense for the second time in the same season, has been fined 157,500 TL.
In the same match, GOZTEPE A.S., due to unsporting chanting by its supporters, is penalized under Article 53/3 of the FDT, with the electronic tickets of spectators in NORTH TRIBUNE NORTH 206 and NORTH 207 blocks who engaged in such behavior being blocked, thus barring them from attending the next home match.
GOZTEPE A.S. player ANTHONY JUNIOR DENNIS has been penalized with a 2-MATCH BAN for a serious foul against an opposing player.

5- TRABZONSPOR A.S., for not keeping the staircases empty during the GOZTEPE A.S.-TRABZONSPOR A.S. Trendyol Super League Samil Ekinci Season match played on 26.10.2024, has been fined 90,000 TL (by majority vote).
In the same match, TRABZONSPOR A.S., due to offensive and unsporting chanting by its supporters, repeated for the third time this season in an away game, has been fined 210,000 TL. Under Article 53/3 of the FDT, spectators in the AWAY TRIBUNE NORTH 209 block who engaged in such behavior will have their electronic tickets blocked, preventing them from attending the next away game.

6- GAZIANTEP FUTBOL KULUBU A.S., for unsporting behavior in the GAZIANTEP FUTBOL KULUBU A.S.-TUMOSAN KONYASPOR Trendyol Super League Samil Ekinci Season match played on 27.10.2024, has been fined 1,800,000 TL under Article 36/1-c of the FDT and Article 4/2 of the same regulation (by majority vote).
GAZIANTEP FUTBOL KULUBU A.S. Chairman MEMIK YILMAZ, for unsporting behavior, has been penalized with a 30-DAY DEPRIVATION OF RIGHTS and a fine of 200,000 TL (by majority vote).

7- TUMOSAN KONYASPOR Club, for supporter-related field incidents in the GAZIANTEP FUTBOL KULUBU A.S.-TUMOSAN KONYASPOR Trendyol Super League Samil Ekinci Season match on 27.10.2024, has been fined 168,000 TL.

8- GALATASARAY A.S., for unsporting chanting by its supporters during the GALATASARAY A.S.-BESIKTAS A.S. Trendyol Super League Samil Ekinci Season match on 28.10.2024, is penalized with a WARNING PENALTY, with electronic tickets of spectators in NORTH TRIBUNE 106-107-108-206-207-208 and SOUTH TRIBUNE 118-119-120-218-219-220 being blocked, preventing them from attending the next home match.

9- BESIKTAS A.S., for unsporting chanting by its supporters during the GALATASARAY A.S.-BESIKTAS A.S. Trendyol Super League Samil Ekinci Season match on 28.10.2024, repeated for the fourth time in an away match this season, is fined 300,000 TL. Under Article 53/3 of the FDT, spectators in AWAY TRIBUNE 418-419-420 blocks are barred from attending the next away match by blocking their electronic tickets.
In the same match, BESIKTAS A.S., for field incidents caused by its supporters, is fined 168,000 TL.
BESIKTAS A.S., for regulatory noncompliance, is penalized with a WARNING PENALTY.
BESIKTAS A.S., for failing to keep staircases empty, is fined 90,000 TL (by majority vote).
BESIKTAS A.S. official SEZGIN GULNAR, due to an assault on a journalist, is penalized under Article 44/1-c of the FDT with a DEPRIVATION OF RIGHTS penalty. Considering the nature of the incident, the severity of the individual’s actions, and the fact that the assault occurred while the journalist was performing his duties, the penalty is set at the “upper limit,” with an additional 1/3 increase under Article 4/2 of the FDT, resulting in a 120-DAY DEPRIVATION OF RIGHTS penalty.”
