The FIBA Women’s Super Cup final between Fenerbahce Opet and Beşiktaş was halted due to objects thrown onto the court, leading to the match being postponed to October 3rd.
The game, held at the Basketball Development Center, was interrupted just 1 minute and 56 seconds into play after fans began throwing flammable and explosive materials onto the court. Following the disruption, the players and referees left the court, heading to the locker rooms.
Security forces took precautionary measures near the press tribune, where most of the foreign objects had been thrown.
MATCH POSTPONED
After the incidents, the arena was evacuated. It was later decided that the match will be rescheduled and played on October 3rd.
