Serbian Basketball Federation in significant financial deficit

A financial audit was performed which uncovered a deficit of 100,000,000 Serbian dinars (~€854,526) and numerous financial irregularities, including a €609,000 spending on tickets for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
With the new leadership taking over the Serbian Basketball Federation (KSS), a financial audit was performed, which revealed some interesting numbers.

The KSS officially announced that the audit uncovered that the organization currently has a 100,000,000 Serbian dinar (~€854,526) deficit in the budget alongside “numerous illogicalities in financial operations.”

Interestingly, approximately €609,000 was spent from the KSS account on tickets for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games this past summer.

“The Association had a very complex task in the form of anticipation and assessment of needs when it comes to tickets for matches,” the official justification notes, writing that a “cultivation of good formal and informal relations that could be significant for the functioning of the Federation in the future” was a key reason.
KSS added that this wasn’t the only unusual use of funds the audit of the federation and the company “Basket Group” encountered.
