Stefan Savic, the Montenegrin defender that Trabzonspor added to their squad at the beginning of the season, has struggled with injuries and has not had much playing time. The club signed him for a three-year contract worth 3 million euros, including a guaranteed annual salary of 2.5 million euros and a signing bonus of 500,000 euros, after he became a free agent following his departure from Atletico Madrid.
Due to injuries, Savic has only played a total of 449 minutes across 6 matches in the Trendyol Super Lig and European competitions.
• Three Injury Reports
Savic signed with Trabzonspor on July 27. In the first week of the Super Lig, he could not continue in the second half of the match against Net Global Sivaspor due to injury. Subsequently, a muscle strain in his left thigh was detected before the UEFA Europa League match against Rapid Wien on August 14, leading to his removal from the squad. Before the match against Eyupspor on September 1, he felt tightness in his right thigh during warm-ups and was excluded from the lineup. Lastly, on September 20, he sustained an injury during the third-week postponed match against Bellona Kayserispor, where a tear in his left hamstring was diagnosed.
Savic has not participated in team training since his injury and has been absent from the squad for the last three league matches.
