Victor Osimhen Arrives in Istanbul: Here Are His First Words…
Galatasaray’s sensational new signing, Victor Osimhen, arrived in Istanbul at around 3:20 a.m. Excited and enthusiastic, Osimhen stated, “I can’t wait to see the fans in the stadium. I will do my best for them.”
The 25-year-old, who has been loaned from Napoli, was greeted by Galatasaray fans with chants and songs at Atatürk Airport. Osimhen left the airport in a private car alongside Galatasaray Sportif AŞ Vice President İbrahim Hatipoğlu and Football Director Cenk Ergün.
Expressing his happiness about being in Istanbul, Osimhen said, “The atmosphere is amazing. The best fans in the world are here. It’s great to be here. I’m very excited. I can’t wait to see the fans in the stadium. I will do my best for them.”
When reminded that he will be playing alongside Dries Mertens, the Nigerian forward said, “Mertens is a fantastic guy. He was very helpful to me. I spoke with him before coming here. I can’t wait to play with him, and I’m also looking forward to playing with my other teammates.”
Last season, Osimhen scored 17 goals in 32 appearances for the Italian side Napoli.
