Endrick Signs with Real Madrid on His 18th Birthday

On July 21, young forward Endrick celebrated his 18th birthday by completing his transfer from Palmeiras to Santiago Bernabeu. The young player was officially introduced to the fans in the Spanish capital in an emotional presentation.

Endrick expressed his admiration for Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo and shared his thoughts about his tears: “I didn’t plan it, but I’ve loved Real Madrid since I was a kid. I saw Cristiano Ronaldo and wanted to know more about Real Madrid because of him. Years ago, I looked at all the idols, including [Emilio] Butragueno. I’ve been in love with Real Madrid since I was a child. I didn’t want to cry, but it came from within.”

Endrick’s Career

Endrick scored 21 goals in 79 matches for Palmeiras and made 10 appearances for the Brazilian national team. He claimed that Madrid was the only place he considered leaving his hometown for and that he has set bold long-term goals.

The young player added: “I’ve been in love with Madrid since I was a kid; I wanted to come here. When the negotiations started, the only thing I asked was if Madrid was involved. I didn’t care about any other club. I’ve always wanted Real Madrid. I’ve wanted it for a long time. I hope to stay here for the rest of my life.”

Being a loyal player for Real Madrid won’t be easy for Endrick as he faces tough competition in Spain. He signed with Los Blancos a few weeks after French superstar Kylian Mbappe and will be competing for a spot alongside La Liga and Champions League winners Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.
