Turkey National Team Trains with Four Absentees

The Turkey national football team continued their preparations for the upcoming match against Wales, with four players missing today’s training session for various reasons.

In their first match of the UEFA Nations League B Group 4, Turkey will face Wales on September 6th in Cardiff. The Turkish national team continued their preparations at the TFF Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities, under the management of head coach Vincenzo Montella. The first 15 minutes of the training session were open to the media.

Kerem Aktürkoğlu, who has transferred to Portuguese club Benfica and is set to return to Istanbul this evening, was absent from training. Hakan Çalhanoğlu, who is dealing with a hip injury, and Semih Kılıçsoy, who has been diagnosed with a strain in his left groin, also missed today’s session. Eren Elmalı was also held out of training as a precaution.

Yusuf Özdemir of Corendon Alanyaspor, who was called up to the squad later, did participate in the training.

The training session was attended by Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, Vice President Mecnun Otyakmaz, National Team Manager Ceyhun Kazancı, and other TFF Board members. Hacıosmanoğlu’s daughter, Ela, was also present to watch the session.

The national team will continue their preparations for the match against Wales with a training session scheduled for tomorrow evening.
