UEFA Women’s Euro 2025: Every Qualified Team Confirmed for Switzerland Tournament

The line-up for UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 has been completed, with all 16 teams now confirmed for the tournament that will take place in Switzerland next summer. The competition will run from 2-27 July 2025, and the draw to decide the group stage matchups will take place on 16 December 2024.

This week saw the final spots secured through the play-off matches, and among the key highlights were Wales’ historic qualification, alongside dominant wins for Norway and Finland. For the first time ever, Wales will be competing in a major international women’s football tournament, marking a milestone for the country after their 2-1 win over the Republic of Ireland. Norway, led by star player Ada Hegerberg, sealed their qualification with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Northern Ireland, following their 4-0 first-leg win.

Finland also made it through after a 2-0 aggregate win over Scotland, ending the hopes of the Scots, who were hoping to return to the tournament after a seven-year absence.

The draw for the final tournament will take place on 16 December at 17:00 GMT, with the 16 teams split into four groups of four. As hosts, Switzerland will be placed in Pot 1 alongside the other top seeds, while the remaining teams will be distributed based on their rankings and qualifications.

The top two teams from each group will progress to the quarter-finals, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting tournament in the summer of 2025.
