Ufuk Sarica: “Sean McDermott’s Injury is Disappointing, I Don’t Think He Can Play on Tuesday”

Karşıyaka coach Ufuk Sarica shared his thoughts after their victory against Yukatel Merkezefendi Belediyesi in the Turkish Insurance Basketball Super League.

In his post-game remarks, Sarıca stated:

“We played well. The end of the game was a bit sloppy because both teams took early shots in fast-break situations, but we got what we needed for ourselves. Winning was important. We also managed to get everyone on the court. Sean McDermott’s injury is disappointing for us, especially since we have an important game on Tuesday. I don’t think he’ll be able to play that day, but hopefully, it’s nothing more serious. It was a game where our big men got into early foul trouble, and on a day like this, the energy and performance that Mehmet Efe brought was significant for both us and Turkish basketball. In the end, we managed to win. Hopefully, in the coming weeks, the stands will be even fuller. We needed a boost today, and it was a great win.”

Sarıca highlighted the importance of the victory and expressed hope that McDermott’s injury wouldn’t be too severe ahead of the upcoming games.
