Max Verstappen has stated that he absolutely agrees with Adrian Newey’s criticism of the British media.
Three-time world champion Max Verstappen supported Adrian Newey’s claims that the British media is biased, noting that some countries take this to an extreme. Newey had previously mentioned that the British media tends to defend British drivers.
Verstappen said, “Absolutely, I agree 100%.”
“You always defend your own countryman against others, but at the same time, you should try to do it as neutrally as possible.”
“Some countries take it to an extreme. In the end, they can say whatever they want; it doesn’t matter to me.”
Regarding the Singapore Grand Prix, Verstappen added, “I don’t expect us to have our strongest weekend.”
“Our car is generally not very good over bumps and curbs, and there are plenty of those here. So, we need to work on balancing the car. I don’t even know where to start.”
“I’m sure we can do a better job than last year, but the competition is quite strong. My goal is definitely to make it to Q3.”
