VERSTAPPEN IS UNDER REVIEW AFTER SPRINT!
Max Verstappen is under review for possible violation of the Virtual Security Tool in the last round of the sprint fight in Brazil!Lando Norris won the sprint race in Brazil and reduced the point difference between him and Max Verstappen in the championship by 2 points. In the last laps of the race, the virtual safety vehicle was activated when Nico Hulkenberg’s car was left on the road. In the middle of the last lap, the Virtual Safety Car ended, but Max Verstappen was examined by race referees for allegedly staying below the minimum lap time.
Explanations about VSC rules: “56.3 – During the VSC procedure, the vehicle must not unnecessarily slow down, drive unstablely and create a potentially dangerous situation for other pilots or any person. This rule also applies if the vehicle is on the track, on the pit entry road or the pit road.”
“56.5 – All racing vehicles must remain above the minimum time set by the FIA ECU and reduce their speeds in each marchal sector, at the first and second safety vehicle lines (a marchel sector is defined as the track section between the FIA light panels).”
