Max Verstappen , who won the Spanish Grand Prix in June , achieved victory again after 10 races with his victory in the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
The pilot, who took a big step towards his fourth world championship, said that they could not understand the reason for the performance of McLaren , Ferrari and Mercedes during the period when the team was behind their rivals.
“This victory was very important for us,” Verstappen said after the Brazilian GP.
“Of course I would have liked to get back to winning sooner, but it’s been a difficult period for us.”
“We always kept pushing but we didn’t really understand why the others were so fast.”
“I tried many things to improve the car, but in Brazil when we started from 17th it didn’t look like we were going to win the race,” he said.
