Former Fenerbahçe manager Vitor Pereira shared his thoughts on Ferdi Kadıoğlu’s anticipated transfer to Brighton in the English Premier League. Speaking to Fanatik, the Portuguese coach expressed his lack of surprise at the young star’s move to England, highlighting Kadıoğlu’s development and readiness for top-level football.
Pereira stated, “Ferdi’s rise to this level and his move to the Premier League doesn’t surprise me at all. Honestly, I’m more surprised he didn’t leave earlier.” He further praised Kadıoğlu’s qualities, noting that the player possesses the skill, fitness, intelligence, and character needed to succeed in England.
Reflecting on his time coaching Kadıoğlu, Pereira added, “I told Ferdi during his transition to playing as a full-back, ‘You can become either a good winger or an elite full-back. You can make forward runs from defense, attack with your left foot from the outside or with your stronger foot from the inside. As a full-back, you can transform into a different player.’ He believed in this and worked hard to achieve it.”
