Wales Stumbles Against Iceland After Taking the Lead

In the UEFA Nations League B, one of Turkey’s group rivals, Wales, drew 2-2 against Iceland despite taking a two-goal lead.

In the League B Group 4 matchup at Laugardalsvöllur Stadium, Wales started strong with an early goal from Brennan Johnson in the 11th minute, followed by Harry Wilson‘s strike in the 29th minute, giving the visitors a 2-0 lead by halftime.

However, Iceland mounted a comeback in the second half. Tomasson scored in the 69th minute, and just four minutes later, a Ward own goal brought Iceland level at 2-2.

With this result, Wales now has 5 points, while Iceland is close behind with 4 points in the group standings.
