Alex Albon’s remarks about discussions with Carlos Sainz regarding Williams’ 2025 F1 car have sparked interest.
Recently, Williams driver Alex Albon mentioned that he and teammate Carlos Sainz had begun talking about the “state of the car” for 2025, drawing attention to their discussions.
Williams team principal James Vowles clarified the situation, stating that there has not been any direct technical conversation with Sainz at this time. “We can’t talk about the 2025 car with him right now because he is still a Ferrari driver.”
“We are discussing what he has done elsewhere in the past and what he wants to achieve here.”
Vowles emphasized that Sainz and Albon could form a lineup capable of advancing Williams in 2025, noting that both drivers are highly motivated to improve the team. “This combination is not found in most teams on the grid. I am focused not only on the performance of the car but also on the success of the organization.”
