Yamal Set to Break Ansu Fati’s Record and Make More Barcelona History

Lamine Yamal is on the verge of smashing yet another record at Barcelona, ready to overtake a milestone currently held by fellow La Masia graduate, Ansu Fati.

At just 15, Yamal has been rewriting the history books ever since his debut from Barca’s legendary academy. He’s already the youngest player to appear in a competitive match for Barcelona, and also holds the record as the youngest to score in La Liga for the club.

The wonderkid’s form isn’t limited to club football either. He became a European Championship winner with Spain just a day after turning 17, and the momentum from that tournament has carried him into the 2024-25 season.

The talented teenager continues to impress for Barcelona, netting a brace in a recent 4-1 win against Girona, bringing his tally to three goals this season and eight overall in La Liga. Yamal is now the favorite to claim prestigious honors like the Kopa Trophy and Golden Boy this season as he cements his place among football’s rising stars.
