After the departure of Kerem Aktürkoğlu, Galatasaray is strengthening its wing position with a high-profile name. The club is reportedly close to signing Nicola Zalewski, who currently plays for Roma.

As the transfer window comes to a close, Galatasaray’s activities have gained momentum. The club recently made headlines by signing Victor Osimhen, but also saw Kerem Aktürkoğlu depart for Benfica.

According to reports from the Italian press, Galatasaray has been in talks to bring in Nicola Zalewski, despite Roma’s coach Daniele De Rossi initially being reluctant to let the 22-year-old leave.

Italian journalist Nico Schira revealed that Galatasaray has made an offer to Zalewski, proposing a four-year contract worth €2.5 million per year. Additionally, reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport indicate that Galatasaray has offered Roma between €10-12 million as a transfer fee.

Zalewski, initially hesitant to leave Italy, is reportedly reconsidering the move after receiving positive feedback about Galatasaray from Nicolo Zaniolo, and the lucrative financial offer could seal the deal.

Last season, Zalewski made 33 appearances for Roma, providing 3 assists. His current market value is estimated at €12 million, and his contract with Roma is set to expire in 2025.
