Zalgiris’ Budget for the New Season Announced
Turkish Airlines EuroLeague team Zalgiris enters the new season with a record budget…
Ahead of the 2024/25 EuroLeague season, Zalgiris president Paulius Jankunas spoke to the media and shared details about the team’s budget.
Jankunas revealed that the team’s budget for the upcoming season is €17.7 million, marking a record for Zalgiris.
“We’ve seen other teams in the league increase their budgets. Since we want to remain competitive in the EuroLeague, we’ve also raised ours. We are very pleased with this record budget,” said Jankunas.
Last season, Zalgiris expected revenues of around €13 million, but due to higher-than-expected ticket sales, the club ended up generating approximately €15 million. This positive outcome contributed to the new season’s budget increase.
Head coach Andrea Trinchieri, commenting on the new budget, stated that the team’s goals are to win all domestic titles in Lithuania and reach the EuroLeague playoffs.
Zalgiris will host Barcelona in the first week of the EuroLeague season on Thursday.
