Zaniolo Receives National Team Call-Up After 7 Months

Nicolo Zaniolo, who is currently on loan from Galatasaray to Atalanta, has been called up to the Italy national team. The last time Zaniolo wore the national jersey was in March.

After missing EURO 2024 due to injury, Zaniolo has been given another chance to represent his country. Following Lorenzo Pellegrini’s red card in Italy’s match against Belgium, national team coach Luciano Spalletti included Zaniolo in the squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League match against Israel.

Zaniolo last played for the national team on March 24 during a match against Ecuador. So far this season with Atalanta, he has appeared in 5 matches, accumulating a total of 103 minutes on the field and providing 1 assist.
