Ziya Erdal: “We Aim for 9 Points from These Matches”
Sivasspor captain Ziya Erdal stated that they aim to collect 9 points from their upcoming matches against Hatayspor, Adana Demirspor, and Caykur Rizespor in the league.
Ziya Erdal, one of the captains of the Trendyol Super Lig team Net Global Sivasspor, emphasized that they are a good team and believe they will rise to the top ranks with the points they will collect in the coming weeks. He noted that they have not achieved the desired results in the league so far, saying, “I believe the main reason for this is the losses we suffered at home against Eyupspor and Basaksehir. Ultimately, we should not dwell on the past; we need to learn from our mistakes and focus on the future.”
The experienced player urged the fans to remain calm and have confidence in the team. “We may start the league with difficulties, but I think we will get better as we go on. This season, we have formed a new team. I believe we have passed the adaptation period, but as long as results don’t come, our fans become anxious. I want our supporters to be calm moving forward. We are truly a good team, and I believe we will reflect this in our results over time,” he expressed.

Ziya Erdal expressed confidence that they would find their momentum after the break due to international matches, stating, “We will enter a nice three-week period with the matches against Atakaş Hatayspor, Adana Demirspor, and Caykur Rizespor. We aim for 9 points from these matches. If we win these games, we will be in a good position. Last season, we started the league similarly, with only 10 points in the first eight weeks. Nothing is lost yet, but we need to be realistic and work harder to do what is necessary as soon as possible.”
He also mentioned that they are facing difficulties due to injuries to goal-scoring players Rey Manaj and Fode Koita.
Regarding the upcoming match against Atakaş Hatayspor in the 9th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, Ziya pointed out that their opponents also had a challenging start to the league. “It will definitely be a tough match. This is a very important game for us. I hope our fans come to the stadium and support us. We wish to start the three-match streak with the Hatayspor game,” he concluded.
