Bogdan Bogdanović: “People Want Me at Partizan, But…”

Bogdan Bogdanović made statements ahead of the new season while wearing the Atlanta Hawks jersey in the NBA. He expressed his desire to play 82 games this season and discussed the possibility of returning to Partizan one day.

So far in his NBA career, Bogdanović has not played all 82 games in a season. He talked about the team’s championship potential, saying, “Playing 82 games. I haven’t achieved that yet, and it’s very difficult. Last season, I missed two games—one due to illness and the other due to injury. I believe I can accomplish this season. We need to work on our team atmosphere, as we have many young and new players, so I think we have a chance with guys like Trae Young, Capela, and Hunter. This is a new challenge for me; in the NBA, anything is possible, but you need to have faith and be persistent.”

Regarding the Serbian National Team, he mentioned that coach Pesic might resign. Bogdanović said he spoke with Pesic, stating, “We talked, and I sent him one of my first interviews, expressing my desire to be coached by him. I sent it to him so he can make a decision. I feel a sense of emotion and responsibility to stay, but the decision is up to him. We’ll see what happens. Everyone sent messages expressing their satisfaction and great respect for the coach. Hopefully, he has tricked us a bit with his statement.”

Before the new season, Bogdanović was seen working out in a Partizan t-shirt. He also discussed the possibility of returning, saying, “Everyone knows how much I love Partizan; they provided the conditions I needed for training. I wanted to send them a message of gratitude. I know everyone wants me to return one day, and I don’t want to lie about that, but my focus is on the NBA and being as good as possible. When the time comes, emotions will definitely prevail.”
