En-Nesyri’s 7-match goal drought at Fenerbahce

Youssef En-Nesyri, Fenerbahce’s most expensive player in history with a transfer fee of 19.5 million Euros, continued his goal drought in yesterday’s match against Twente.

The Moroccan striker has played a total of 11 matches in the yellow and navy blue shirt, including 7 in the Super Lig, 2 in the Champions League qualifiers, and 2 in the Europa League, scoring only 1 goal. His only goal came in the 2-2 draw against Goztepe in the second week of the Super Lig. Since then, En-Nesyri has not found the net in 7 matches, playing a total of 273 minutes.

INCIDENT BEFORE THE MATCH

An incident occurred before the match in the city of Enschede. Turkish fans, who had traveled from various parts of Europe and Turkey for the game, gathered in the city center during the day. The home team’s fans engaged in provocative actions, and the Dutch police turned a blind eye to these tensions, which escalated into a fight between the two groups of supporters. It was reported that some fans were injured during the clash, while others were taken into custody by the police. After police intervention, the two groups were separated.
