F1 Drivers are Preparing to Respond to Verstappen!

Formula 1 drivers are set to hold private discussions about their response to the FIA’s decision to penalize Max Verstappen for using the F-word during a press conference. Verstappen was sanctioned with a day’s public service following the incident at the Singapore Grand Prix, a move that has stirred discontent among the drivers.

Verstappen’s brief and protest-laden responses in subsequent official press conferences further highlighted his dissatisfaction with the punishment. The Dutchman even hinted that incidents like these could push him toward considering early retirement from the sport.

Verstappen revealed that his fellow drivers have expressed support for him in their private Grand Prix Drivers’ Association (GPDA) WhatsApp group, where they shared their surprise and amusement at the FIA’s ruling. The group is reportedly now pondering how best to respond to the issue, with Verstappen saying that the ruling has been met with widespread disbelief among the drivers.

The growing tension between the FIA and the drivers over the enforcement of such regulations suggests further discussions and potential action could be on the horizon as they seek to address their concerns.
