As the transfer window nears its close, Fenerbahçe is working to strengthen its squad and has turned its attention to Cristian Medina for the midfield. Boca Juniors is reportedly demanding €13.5 million for the 22-year-old Medina. Fenerbahçe’s management is negotiating to lower this amount.

According to reports from the Argentine press, Fenerbahçe has made an official offer to Boca Juniors for Cristian Medina. Journalist Cesar Luis Merlo reported that Fenerbahçe’s offer consists of $8 million plus $3 million in bonuses.

Special Clauses and Transfer Process

The local press also highlighted special clauses in Medina’s contract. The release clause for Cristian Medina was set at $15 million during the transfer window, but this amount is expected to rise to $20 million afterward. The Argentine Football Federation has extended the transfer window deadline to August 31.

Medina’s Boca Career

Having risen through the ranks of Boca Juniors’ youth system, Medina has made 150 appearances for the first team, scoring 9 goals and providing 11 assists. The player has 3.5 years remaining on his contract with Boca Juniors.
