City had planned to loan Echeverri to Girona to help him adapt to European football. However, UEFA restrictions, due to both teams competing in the Champions League, blocked this plan. Still, another loan option could be considered. Although Manchester City is usually known for staying quiet during the January transfer window, signing Echeverri could be a smart move to ease Haaland’s burden and add depth to the attack.
