In the 4th week of the Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg delivered a goal-packed thriller, with Leverkusen securing a 4-3 victory thanks to a stoppage-time goal. The match, held at Bay Arena, saw seven goals in total, making it one of the most exciting games of the season.
The visitors took an early lead in the 5th minute through an own goal by Mukiele. Leverkusen equalized in the 14th minute with a goal from Wirtz and took the lead through Tah in the 32nd minute. Wolfsburg responded quickly, equalizing with Bornauw in the 37th minute and then taking the lead with Svanberg’s goal in first-half stoppage time, making it 3-2 at halftime.
Leverkusen equalized again in the 49th minute through Hincapie. In the 90+2 minute, substitute Victor Boniface, who came on for Patrick Schick, scored the winning goal to secure the 4-3 victory for Leverkusen.
With this result, Bayer Leverkusen moved up to 9 points. Wolfsburg, with only one win this season, remains at 3 points.
