PEREZ: “VERSTAPPEN SUDDENLY STARTED HAVING THE SAME ISSUES AS ME”

Sergio Perez says that world champion Max Verstappen is now suffering from the same issues that he has been facing.

In Monza, Max Verstappen finished the race in sixth place, repeating his worst result of the season. After the race, the reigning world champion spoke at length about the lack of speed and poor grip of the car.

Red Bull Racing teammate Sergio Perez said that Max Verstappen is now experiencing the problems that he has been facing for months.

The Mexican driver said: “Looking at my feelings from the last ten races, nothing has changed. My car behaved the same way at Monza.”

“But suddenly, Max also started having the same problems as me, and that was a bit surprising.”

“We can see exactly what the problem is from the telemetry data.”

Perez also admitted that Monza was more difficult than they had expected.

“This result was disappointing for me.”

“I expected Monza to be tough, but I didn’t expect it to be this bad.”

“We were very slow, and the tire wear was really high.”
