Fenerbahce Beko Faces Competition from Maccabi Tel Aviv for Saben Lee Transfer
Fenerbahçe Beko is not the only EuroLeague team interested in Manisa Basket’s star point guard, Saben Lee.
As recently reported by Eurohoops, Fenerbahçe Beko has been planning to add the 25-year-old playmaker to their roster. However, Maccabi Tel Aviv has also entered the race for Lee, as confirmed by Ismail Senol of beIN Sports and verified by Eurohoops sources.
Despite Maccabi Tel Aviv’s interest, Fenerbahçe currently holds the upper hand in this transfer pursuit. The recent conflicts in Israel have reportedly raised concerns for Saben Lee about potentially joining Maccabi.
Lee has had a strong start to his career with Manisa Basket, and his standout performance last week against UCAM Murcia, where he posted 36 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists, helped secure Manisa’s first-ever victory in the Basketball Champions League.
Fenerbahçe Beko will be hoping to finalize the transfer and add the dynamic guard to their roster soon.
