Antonio Cassano Reveals Cristiano Ronaldo’s Messages: “Don’t Do This Again”
Antonio Cassano, a former player for Real Madrid, made headlines when he criticized Cristiano Ronaldo, stating that the Portuguese star “doesn’t know how to play football.” Following these comments, Ronaldo reportedly sent a voice message to Cassano expressing his anger.
Ronaldo, who continues his career at Al-Nassr, was particularly irked by Cassano’s allegations, as the latter played for Real Madrid between 2006 and 2007. In a podcast, Cassano disclosed the details of the message he received from Ronaldo.
“I saw a number with the prefix 0034 on my phone. That’s Spain,” Cassano explained. “Then I saw a list with all of Cristiano Ronaldo’s statistics.” He went on to share the content of Ronaldo’s message, which read: “You don’t need to do this again. You’ve only scored 150 goals and won just four championships.”
In response, Cassano replied, “Dear Cristiano Ronaldo, listen to me: do you know what the problem is? I didn’t respect you because I didn’t like you as a player.”
Recently, Ronaldo’s sister, Elma Aveiro, also targeted Cassano. She stated, “I don’t know this pathetic man (Cassano), and I don’t care. But I will only say to him: ‘If Cristiano doesn’t know how to play and has scored 900 goals, just imagine if he did know how to play.’”
