Trabzonspor’s new head coach, Şenol Güneş, has arrived in Trabzon. The experienced coach came to the city to sign a contract with Trabzonspor and made statements to the press at Trabzon Airport upon his arrival.
Speaking at Trabzon Airport, Şenol Güneş said, “I’m not new to Trabzon. Today, I come with different feelings. The president called, and we had a meeting. I returned to Trabzon with a mission. Before me, there was a successful period with Abdullah Avcı, and I also thank coach İhsan. A new era will begin. The president and the board invited me to come, so I came. It’s a city I know well and a team that has made a lot of noise. After success, challenges can be tough. Success for Trabzonspor will come with players developed internally and those we will bring in to compete. We will see a Trabzonspor that fans will enjoy watching, a Trabzonspor that we will all be proud of. My excitement is not like it was in my youth. It was hard to control that excitement back then. Now, we are in a period where we combine my current feelings with reason. I hope we will bring a positive spark,” he said.
