According to The Athletic’s Sam Amick, the Golden State Warriors are still interested in Giannis Antetokounmpo and hope to have a chance to acquire him.
During the latest episode of The TK Show podcast, Sam Amick explained that a direct trade request from Giannis is the only way this move could happen.
“One of the things I always keep an eye on in the NBA is whether things will go wrong in Milwaukee. We know Joe Lacob has long dreamed of Giannis coming to the Warriors. Again, it’s still unlikely,” Amick said.
This scenario emerged last spring because Stephen Curry needs more support, and the Warriors need to build on their current roster.
The mutual respect and admiration between the two stars were evident during the last All-Star game, which helped fuel these rumors.
