Everton Striker Neal Maupay Responds to Fan Abuse After Tottenham Defeat
Everton striker Neal Maupay has addressed a video circulating online that shows a group of supporters verbally abusing Toffees players at London Euston train station. The footage captures fans shouting and swearing at several players as they walked by on Saturday, following Everton’s 4-0 loss to Tottenham.
Maupay, who did not play in the match, took to X to express his frustration, writing: “Imagine another job where it’s normalised to get abuse like this. Hanging around at a train station to scream at men who are trying their best.”
The video also depicts some fans high-fiving the players, contrasting with the abusive behavior. Many Everton supporters have condemned the actions of those seen in the video
