Norris on Sprint Qualifying Result: “My Lap Was Shocking”

Lando Norris, who is in a championship battle with Max Verstappen, finished fourth in the sprint qualifying session.

Norris, who placed fourth in the US Grand Prix sprint qualifying, expressed his dissatisfaction over the team radio, describing his lap as “shocking.”

Norris mentioned that McLaren’s new updates have not yet reached the desired level, particularly pointing out that the car experienced understeer in fast corners. After qualifying, Norris commented: “Fourth place… It’s actually not a bad day. I struggled with the car’s balance and setup throughout the day.”

“In one way, finishing fourth is a good result because it could have been much worse. But my lap was really shocking, and it could have been better.”

“I’m not sure about the car’s race pace. I plan to push forward, but I don’t know how far we can go.”
